For the last 18 month we have been searching for a specific motor boat that we can convert into a start/finish boat for the Welsh harp. It had to be inboard with a proper marine engine, it must have a heater and enclosed cabin for the winters, and an electric winch. This to make members OOD duty a pleasant experience,  hopefully easier to achieve, and it will only need to be re-fuelled once every 6 months.

Finally it is our commitment to bring people back to sailing  on the Harp as the restrictions  are lifted!

It has been a tricky day, a combination of abandoned cars and a local school open day meant we had very little room to get vehicles loaded.

However presence of mind prevailed and it all worked out.

It is very nice to see work going through the system and ending up with the customer!

This morning we had to have the latest delivery lifted in because of all the work in the yard.

What is going on!

We have modified our super light ally Solo trolley to work with other brands of trailer bases, they are supplied with either standard pneumatic wheels, sand wheels, or solid but soft, and there is a jockey wheel attachment point.

We have improved our popular Oppi trolley, solid but soft wheels, welded components, and very easy to dismantle, price (collect) £165.00 inc vat.

It has been a very sad month we have lost two very important members of the Welsh Harp team.

Jean Saunders sadly passed away earlier this month. She started working with us in 1968, she  was  loyal and  hard working, and a very important member of the team. It is true to say she enjoyed her job and  spent the rest of her working life with us. After retiring  she  moved south to be with her relatives and settled in Swanage. Our thoughts are with her daughter Karen and her family.

Ken Lawton was part of our team, a successful business man who retired young and worked with us as a friend. Always happy, always busy, and we valued his advice. An excellent Merlin sailor who became commodore at Wembley and ran the club like a business, which was one of its most  successful   periods,  certainly in terms of members.  He passed away on the 21^st June our thoughts are with his wife Margaret.

Today I went to the seaside  managed to get the rib out and on  the water then took some photos.

For the first time in months the galvanizers arrived this morning, ordinarily a mundane  once a week occurrence, but there was almost something symbolic about their arrival this morning.

Joseph Ash Medway Galvanizing  are only running two shifts a day, which means this load will not be returned until the middle of next week, it is however the the first  tentative steps back to some sort of normality.
